Sevens vs TeuxDeux
TeuxDeux is a lovely, stubbornly simple to-do list — and it costs $4 a month, forever. Sevens puts the whole week on one page too, adds projects, habits and a year view, and costs $25 once.

Where TeuxDeux is better
Native mobile apps. TeuxDeux ships real iOS and Android apps. Sevens
is a web app: it works on a phone browser and syncs, but there is nothing to
install from an app store.
Years of polish. TeuxDeux has been going since 2010. That is a long time
to sand the edges off something, and it shows.
Which to pick
Choose Sevens if
You plan by week rather than by inbox, you want the whole week visible at
once, and you would rather pay once than carry another monthly bill for a
list of what you are doing.
Choose TeuxDeux if
You want a native app on your phone, you like a plain list with nothing
else on the page, and $4 a month is genuinely not something you will think
about again.
The honest part
We make Sevens, so read this as an argument rather than a review. Everything
factual above is checkable: the prices link to their own pages, and Sevens
gives you seven days with no card so you can judge it without talking to us.
TeuxDeux is a good product with real users. The disagreement is about
billing, not quality — a planner is a place to write down your week, and we
do not think that should be rented.
